Aim of the position:

• Further development of the product line housing and components (product innovation, product development, product optimization) incl. technical documentation
• Technical mentoring of the Timisoara engineering team in the field of mechanical solutions

Your tasks:

• Adaption of pre-designed solution for our machinery (design transfer/industrialisation)
• Cost optimisation of existing products/components
• Product concept and design according to specifications
• Design of solutions with regard to thermals, EMC safety, mechanical stability (shock, vibration, dust, moisture)
• Technical support of sales and other national subsidiaries
• Review of customer requirements and, if necessary, completion of the requirement specification in close
  cooperation with the customer, preparation of the functional specification
• Close coordination with the industrialization engineer and design department
• Project management according to the product development process in cooperation with the PM
• Documentation in accordance with the quality management system (Functional Requirements, Design Specification)
• Technical responsibility for correcting quality deviations
• Technical responsibility for customer complaints and dealings with supplier

Your profile:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience in metal sheet design /processing / industrialisation
• Experience in the development of solutions (project management)
• Very good knowledge of PLM, 3D CAD and simulation systems
• Sound knowledge of machining technology
• Experience in cost optimization of designs
• Structured and independent way of working, quick comprehension
• Communicative, responsible and initiative personality with leadership qualities
• Good written and spoken English
• Experience with quality-oriented work
• Willingness to travel
