ORTEC Global Managed Services unit is looking for Security Engineer that will act for all hosted platforms.

As Security Engineer you will be responsible for servers and network security, troubleshooting network access and implementing security policies and procedures, carrying out daily monitoring tasks. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The Security Engineer works independently within the established procedures to ensure network security access and protect against unauthorized access, modifications, or destruction. Your responsibilities include performing risk assessments, audits, staff training sessions, and monitoring network activity.

To be a successful Security Engineer, you should be meticulous and detail-oriented, with excellent technical and information security skills. You should be skilled at drafting security policies and training less technically skilled employees to be security conscious.

What will you do:

• Proactively monitor and manage security incidents/investigation for provided hosting services;


• Installing, administering, and troubleshooting security solutions;


• Provide L3 support inside of Hosting Operations Center;


• Conduct root cause analyses for security incidents and signal any improvement requirements;


• Define security solution documentation. Apply and maintain installation and configuration of associated procedures;


• Evaluate and approve system patching with the latest security patches and ensuring the proper defenses are applied for each resource;


• Performing vulnerability and penetration tests, identifying and defending against threats;


• Configuring security systems, analyzing security requirements, and recommending improvements;


• Monitoring network traffic for suspicious behavior;


• Consulting with staff, managers, and executives about the best security practices and providing technical advice;


• Configuring and supporting security tools, such as firewalls and anti-virus software;


• Training staff to understand and use security protocols.

You have:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;


• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field;


• A strong understanding and knowledge of computer, network, and security systems;


• Experience in administration and monitoring of security solutions like Antivirus, Firewall, IPS solutions;


• Able to work on-call;


• Good teaching, interpersonal, and communication skills;


• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;


• Able to troubleshoot quickly and carefully;


• Good written and verbal English skills.

You might also have:

• Good expertise with cloud environments;


• Security certifications;


• Experience with High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures.
